New Year, New Resolutions
I clearly remember my New Year's resolution for 2016. It was to pass the CPA exam.
Spoiler Alert: I didn't pass.
New Year's resolutions are funny in that they don't recognize the unexpected, unplanned accomplishments that will come in the new year. My unexpected accomplishments in 2016 included a new job, starting a new business and learning how to dive. Many of these accomplishments indirectly came out of my inability to pass the exam. By not accomplishing one thing, I succeeded in accomplishing three other things.
Since I am a goal oriented person, I can't resist the temptation of making another set of New Year's resolutions. This year, my resolutions are going to be a little less intense and a lot more fun.
Mary's Resolutions for 2017
- Make a Baked Alaska with homemade ice cream. Perhaps a smaller version? I guess I should also add "buy a blowtorch" to my list of resolutions.
- Get back into yoga, at least once a week.
- Go diving!
Happy New Year everyone!
