7+1 Layer Dip

7+1 Layer Dip

If we aren't at work tomorrow, it is because we ate the entire bowl of 7+1 layer dip. Send help. 

This recipe is my take on several different 7 layer dip recipes plus my go-to ingredients for salsa and guacamole. If your ambitious, you can make the refried beans and spanish rice from scratch. 

Serves 4-6

Layer 1: Re-fried Beans

- One 16 oz can re-fried beans

- One 4.5 oz can diced green chilies, undrained

- A dash of hot sauce

Layer 2: Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

Layer 3: Sour Cream

- One 8 oz container sour cream

- 1/4 tsp garlic powder

- 1/4 tsp onion powder

- 1/2 tsp chili powder

- 1/2 tsp cumin

Layer 3: Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

Layer 4: One package of Uncle Ben's Spanish Rice

Layer 5: Guacamole

- Three ripe avocados

- Approximately 2 chopped tablespoons of cilantro

- 3/4 tsp cumin

- Salt and pepper to taste

- One clove of garlic

- Approximately 1 tablespoon diced red onion

Layer 6: Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

Layer 7: One 15 oz can of Black Beans, drained

Layer 8: Salsa

- One 10 oz container of baby tomatoes, cut in quarters

- Approximately 2 chopped tablespoons of cilantro

- Approximately 1 tablespoon diced red onion

- 1/2 diced jalapeno

- Salt and Pepper to taste
